# Briefing Modes

Control the level of detail in your briefing with 3 modes. Change your preference on the Settings page.

## Mode Comparison

| Mode        | Description                               | Best For                                                   |
| ----------- | ----------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| **verbose** | Full AI summary for each piece of content | When you want a thorough overview                          |
| **compact** | Key highlights only                       | When you want to scan quickly and click what interests you |
| **links**   | Just titles and links                     | When you prefer to go straight to the source               |

## Executive Summary

Every mode includes a **Today's Highlights** section at the top of your briefing. It captures the big picture in 3–4 lines so you can quickly understand what happened.
