## Method A: Subscribe Directly

The simplest approach — use your Nudget forwarding address as the email when subscribing to any newsletter.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Copy your forwarding address">
    Go to **Settings** in the Nudget dashboard. Your unique forwarding address is displayed under **Newsletter Forwarding**. Click **Copy** to copy it to your clipboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Subscribe to a newsletter">
    Visit any newsletter signup page and paste your Nudget address into the email field. Complete the subscription as usual.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Done — newsletters appear in Nudget">
    Each newsletter you receive is automatically added as a subscription in Nudget. New issues appear in your inbox and are included in your daily briefing.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  This works with any newsletter — Substack, Beehiiv, ConvertKit, Mailchimp, and more.
</Tip>

<Info>
  Some newsletters require email confirmation before they start sending. Nudget automatically detects these confirmation emails and forwards them to your real email address — just click the confirmation link as usual.
</Info>

## Method B: Auto-Forward from Gmail

If you're already subscribed to newsletters in Gmail, set up auto-forwarding so they're automatically sent to Nudget. You only need to do this once per newsletter.

### Step 1: Add your Nudget address as a forwarding destination

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Gmail Settings">
    In Gmail, click the **gear icon** (top right) → **See all settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Forwarding and POP/IMAP">
    Click the **Forwarding and POP/IMAP** tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add forwarding address">
    Click **Add a forwarding address**. Paste your Nudget forwarding address and click **Next** → **Proceed** → **OK**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter verification code">
    Gmail sends a verification email to your Nudget address. Nudget automatically forwards it to your real email, so check your inbox for the verification code. Enter the code in Gmail to confirm.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  You only need to do this once. After verification, your Nudget address is saved as a forwarding destination in Gmail.
</Info>

<Tip>
  Nudget automatically detects verification and confirmation emails (from Gmail, Substack, Beehiiv, and more) and forwards them to your real email address — so you never miss a confirmation link.
</Tip>

### Step 2: Create a filter for each newsletter

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open filter settings">
    In Gmail Settings, go to **Filters and Blocked Addresses** → **Create a new filter**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the sender">
    In the **From** field, enter the newsletter sender's email (e.g., `newsletter@morningbrew.com`). Click **Create filter**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure forwarding">
    Check **Forward it to** and select your Nudget address. Optionally, check **Skip the Inbox** to keep your Gmail clean. Click **Create filter**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Repeat this for each newsletter you want to forward. From now on, every new issue is automatically sent to Nudget.

<Tip>
  You can forward multiple newsletters to the same Nudget address. Each sender is automatically recognized as a separate subscription.
</Tip>

</Warning>
